3.  Annual brake check-ups

Wearing down is a part of the natural lifecycle of your car’s brake pads and shoes. By checking your braking system yearly, you can foresee when it is time to replace them. Failing to maintain regular brake work can cause more expensive rotor and drum replacements in the future. Annual brake check-ups also help your technician catch other problems that you never knew existed such as brake fluid problems.   

4. PCV Valve maintenance

The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) functions as the regulator of engine fumes. It keeps the engine from getting worn down and cracked that might lead to an oil leak. PCV valves and hoses are ideally replaced at regular intervals. Typically, the cost of replacement is just a few dollars, plus a minimal cost of labor. Skipping this maintenance service can lead to leaking head gasket and failed emission test which cost a lot to repair.

As an auto collision repair in West Knoxville facility, we like to keep on top of the latest trends in the automobile world, whether they come from industry experts, or social media sites. For those of us interested in the industry, but as an auto repair in Seymour establishment, we have a vested interest in knowing which cars we’ll be spending a lot of time fixing over the next few years! With that being said, Instagram is a brilliant tool for determining popularity, even for automakers, it seems. So today, we’ll be taking a look at Instagram users’ five most popular automakers.

Nissan

Maybe Nissan are traditionally looked upon as a more family friendly automaker, but truth be told over the last few years they have decisively proved that they’re a lot more than that. Nissan created the GT-R, one of the last decade’s most popular “super cars”, and they’re as popular for their high end vehicles as they are for their family friendly varieties.

According to Instagram numbers, by the time another two #Nissan tags have been made, another car has been sold!

Porsche

A little less surprising, eh? Porsche have over 357,915 #Porsche posts, with every car the automaker sells receiving a tag in 14.2 photos! Porsche are definitely one of those automakers that create what many perceive to be the “dream car” and it’s no surprise that they’re so popular on social media and in real life as a result of this.

Ferrari

Of course, we knew this would make the list – who doesn’t love a Ferrari? Ferrari have hit more than 360,000 tags so far, meaning each car they’ve more than 300 features for every vehicle they’ve sold in the US.

A dream automaker for many, the Ferrari’s overwhelming popularity means the only surprise for us in this list is that there aren’t even more tags for it!

Jeep

Having enjoyed a record sales year in 2015 and been dubbed America’s most popular automaker in nineteen different states, it’s no surprise that Jeep are making the list for Instagram users’ most popular automakers. They have almost half a million tags on Instagram – that’s a lot of Jeep enthusiasts!

Jeep are essentially off-road vehicles, but their popularity on Instagram and off it is a sure indication that they’re well loved by all.

BMW

Are we surprised to see BMW beat out some of the more “exotic” dream automakers? Sure, a little, but it’s not a surprise they’re on the list. The BMW for many is the attainable dream automaker - working hard and knowing that eventually you’ll be able to get it is great motivation! With this in mind, the fact that BMW racked up more than 710,000 tags between 2011 and 2015 should really be a surprise to no one.

Like the Jeep, BMW proved to be a popular automaker in certain states as well. They took the top spots in 21 different states in America, proving how this automaker have earned themselves the top spot.
